The Jungle Books
by Rudyard Kipling

These are a few illustrations for a project I'm working on with a friend. For a class project he's re-branding the Penguin Books logo and design. It was fun to re-read the jungle books in a perspective other than the well-known Disney version. There's a lot of heart in Kipling's words and messages that I can appreciate now reading them as an adult.

Title: Elixir
Size: 24" x 24"
Media: Acrylic + Gouache on Canvas

This is for a traveling group show that I got a chance to be a part of, The Kids Are Alright. It includes some greatly talented artists who I respect so I feel lucky to be a part of it.

This piece will be at Subtext Gallery in San Diego with the show opening next friday.
