"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed"

-Albert Einsten

This was a book project for Advanced Illustration Design with David Tillinghast. We were given the topic of "mystery" and were to create a book around a "mystery" topic of our choice. I've been curious/fascinated/confused about the universe and how it came to be. There are many theories and beliefs and I wanted to take those views and mix it with how I think the world may have come to be.. but, it's always changing. Science is always changing, we are always changing, my thoughts and I are constantly changing.. but the game of (attempting to) solve mysteries is always fun.

Some projects from last term...

These 3 projects were illustrating stories we listened to in class and interpreted through images. The stories were about dystopia in America and the human condition

The Hollow Men by Thomas Wolfe

The Swimmer by John Cheever (this is only a snippet of the original)

The 548 by John Cheever

I love the energy of the city and the people. I love the interactions and random happenings and colors and smells and vibrancy
