Timed with the release of illustrator Joey Chou's latest children's book from Disney Press, a select group of talent will contribute work paying homage to this beloved and enduring theme of global peace. The book features Chou's illustrations interpreting the Sherman Brothers classic song written for the popular Disney park attraction.
This is an all-ages event. Meet some of the artists including Joey Chou who will be on hand signing copies of the new release.
Oh, I'm excited to be a part of this show. Joey Chou has created beautiful images for the classic song and I can't wait to see the whole book, as well as all the pieces from a roster of talented artists. I will have 1 or 2 new paintings in the show and will be at the opening so do come :)
if you have an iPhone or iPad, enjoy art, and sometimes you get bored and need a little game to pass some time, go download this application today! it's a game reminiscent of the kind you get as party favors from birthday parties where you try to match all the little metal balls into the holes.
There are a lot of artists and art to choose from, and if you like the art, you can purchase actual prints in different sizes. go check it out ;)
I stopped by Chinatown today to drop these 2 prints off at Flock Shop. I can't say enough how awesome Chad and Michelle are. They're so supportive of the arts and artists, it's inspiring to know people like them. They have really cute things at their store too. Check out their website http://flockshopla.com/. I think they're still working on uploading items from their store onto the site but take a look and browse what they have so far~!
For me.. I have lots on my mind at the moment. Aside from my current personal, real-life happenings, there's lots I want to do and create. I hope to let all that energy just flow through and see what happens. Please wish me luck~
There's a great little gem in Chinatown called Flock Shop. It's a boutique owned by the nicest people Michelle and Chad and they support artists and one-of-a-kind handmade goods. They also hold gallery shows featuring lovely artists like Patrick Hruby and Joey Chou. Right now, Joey's work is up there and they are gorgeous.
I also have some prints at the store including the ones below and a couple other ones.
If you're around Chinatown, I highly recommend checking out Flock Shop. They've got a lot of cute, cool things to browse through
